<h2>A Transport Scheduler is found in the transport sector, across a range of different types of organisations such as airlines, train operators (overground and underground), bus and coach companies, tram operators and the military.</h2> These travel networks span the UK and beyond. Many travel networks cover multiple routes and services that connect to provide integrated travel solutions.

The Transport Scheduler role is found in diverse settings. It includes operators that provide public transport, commercial and military operators. Those working in this occupation help meet a wide range of different transport needs and objectives.

Transport schedulers provide support to key teams such as flight crews or bus drivers. They may be required to work on site, which could include commercial airports, bus/train/tram stations or military bases. They are also found off site in remote offices, a small control location, or a major operations control room.

The broad purpose of the occupation is to help ensure that transport services operate safely, efficiently and effectively by having all the necessary requirements at the right time and place. 

Qualifications Included:

Level 2 Functional Skills – Maths and English (unless exempt)

<li>Flexible national delivery available on this Apprenticeship, delivered using a ‘hybrid learning’ approach, incorporating face-to-face; work-based assessment and learning support sessions, along with timetabled tutor led live e-tutorials (accessed using MS Teams Education).</li>
<li>If required laptops loaded with all the necessary software packages are available free of charge to all Apprentices on a loan basis, ensuring access for everyone to the full curriculum.</li>
<li>As part of our commitment to the environment, we deliver all aspects of the Apprenticeship using the latest e-technology, including paperless inductions, live tutor led e-tutorials, and e-portfolio system for uploading course work and evidence gathering.</li>
<li>Spread recruitment costs throughout the year, by utilising our employer friendly, roll-on-roll-off monthly enrolment dates. Our flexible modular timetable breaks away from the traditional September start date (term times).</li>
<li>Apprentice progress reports are available to all employers on a monthly basis.</li>
<li>Unit Rate: £8,000 per Apprentice (no additional fees).</li>
<li>Typical duration to gateway: 18 months.</li>
