Aim:
The objectives of the course are to enable delegates to:
- Be able to operate machine safely and correctly in accordance with manufacturers’ instructions and accepted good practice.
- Use ancillary attachments.
- Carry out a pre-shift inspection.
- Be able to operate safely under varying site conditions.
- Be able to load and unload machine of a transporter.
- Be able to carry out minor adjustments and routine service.
- Have an understanding of responsibilities under current relevant legislation.
Trainee Specification:
All personnel required to operate a 360° excavator.

- Trenching, back-filling, levelling and marking out
Method of Training
Highly participative, with practical demonstrations highlighted by use of PowerPoint and Videos along with group and individual exercises.
