Aim:
The objectives of the course are to enable delegates to:

• Be able to operate safely and correctly in accordance with manufacturers’ instructions and accepted good practice.
• Site and operate machine safely in response to given tasks and signals, using outriggers where applicable.
• Load and unload machine off a road transporter where applicable.
• Recognise defects and hazards that affect crane motions.
• Have an understanding of responsibilities under current relevant legislation.

Trainee Specification:
All personnel required to operate Mobile Cranes.
Candidates are required to hold LGV licence for Truck Mounted and Wheeled Cranes.

• Coolant, fuel and lubrication
• Automatic safe load indicator

Method of Training
Highly participative, with practical demonstrations highlighted by use of Powerpoint and Videos along with group and individual exercises.

Duration: 1 – 10 days depending upon experience. Funding: Eligible companies may be able to claim grants toward their Training as this course is CITB approved for grant purposes.
